Mary Anne Shew, President, Business Vitality LLCMary Anne Shew is the president and founder of Business Vitality LLC. She is an accomplished business leader, coach, facilitator, speaker, and technology expert.

Her vision is to help business owners, and corporate and non-profit leadership teams make prosperity a way of life for themselves, their employees, their customers, and other stakeholders. She coaches individuals and teams to leverage goal setting, planning, people development, and process improvement to ensure their companies achieve the desired results. She has become a valued resource and trusted advisor to senior leaders and employees of companies large and small.

She is also an adjunct Talent Development Coach for Lee Hecht Harrison, the world’s leading talent development and transition company.Through them she coaches middle and senior managers through improvement in areas such as delegation, accountability, emotional intelligence, strategic planning, communication, productivity, and teamwork.

Mary Anne graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.A. degree in mathematics and also holds an M.B.A. from Marymount University. She is a Certified Business Coach and a trained facilitator.

She is also certified in several individual and organization profile and assessment tools, including talent, behavior and motivator assessments.

Her twenty-five-year corporate career consisted of managing information technology for Eastman Kodak, General Electric, and Xerox. She worked for Battelle Memorial Institute, a nonprofit corporation that serves national security, health and life sciences, and energy and environmental industries. She also served as partner and vice president of operations for a small IT consultancy. Several of her assignments in all of these companies included program management in military and government environments requiring top-secret security clearances.

Mary Anne is a strong supporter of her local community as a volunteer, committee member, committee chairperson, board member, and board president of many professional, business, and arts organizations in the Rochester NY area. She is a popular speaker and has given hundreds of presentations on a variety of business and technical topics to both local chapters and national conferences of business and professional associations.

She was recognized frequently by her employers for her leadership, teamwork, and results. She was also nominated twice for the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce Women’s Council ATHENA Award as well as selected as a finalist for the Daniel Penfield Award by the Penfield Business Association. Her company has been recognized as Business of the Month several times by local chambers of commerce.
